My new book project, tentatively titled Tides of Fortune: Faith, Inequality and Climate Crisis on the South Indian Coast, looks at how coastal communities in Malabar have been engaging with technological progress, social inequalities, climate resilient infrastructures and a warming sea. This project draws upon 8 months of fieldwork in south Malabar in 2019 and continuing engagements with the coast over the last 6 years.
